About Hope and our beliefs

Since 1980 Hope Lutheran has been one of over 6,000 congregations that make up the Lutheran-Church Missouri Synod.  The word Synod means to walk together.  With over 2.3 million Christians we walk together with our Lord Jesus Christ and each other.   We encourage you to learn much more about our national church body by using the link below for its website.  www.lcms.org

Hope Lutheran has been served by Pastor Bob Riggs since June of 1995.  Pastor graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in 1983.  The year before that he and his wife, Lynne, married in their native state of Michigan.  The Riggs family came to Ohio after serving in Minnesota for 12 years.  They have been blessed with three children.  The youngest two children are both currently students at the Ohio State University in Columbus.  Their oldest daughter is a high school teacher.  Pastor and Lynne are thankful for their family and church family.

Worship happens every Sunday morning at 10:30am with a Sunday school hour that happens at 9:15/30am. We worship between 100-140 people every Sunday and have about 300 different families that make up our great.

Hope has three paid staff positions but we are mostly run by volunteers and our church council. We have a full time Pastor (Pastor Bob Riggs), a part-time secretary (Jenni Kessler), and a part-time youth and family director (Kevin Eichhorn).
