About me:  I am 25 years old and recently married to my beautiful wife Jackie.  We recently moved together to Worthington, Ohio so Jackie can finish her Doctoral studies at Ohio State University and for me to begin work at Hope Lutheran.  I have an older sister Michelle who is 32 and an older brother Steve that is 35.  Between them I have 4 nephews and 1 niece and they keep our family very busy.

My parents and siblings all reside in a suburb of Chicago and have lived there their whole lives.  I attended Eastern Illinois University for two years (where I met Jackie) and then transferred to Concordia in the fall of 2006. 

Why Ministry?  I was raised LCMS Lutheran my entire life.  I went to a large church that I loved to attend.  I was very active in all their youth events and fell in love with missions during high school.  My senior year of high school and freshman year of college, I fell away from my faith and face-planted in the world.  The summer of my sophomore year of college I was asked to be a young adult leader for a summer mission trip to Tennessee.  During the trip my youth director commented about my passion for teaching and the connection I was making to Christ on the trip.  Later that week I decided to fully and wholeheartedly pursue a career in youth work.  Everybody I knew was completely and utterly surprised by my decision, including my parents.   After I finally pushed through with my choice to transfer colleges, I knew that my decision was the right one and I was following my call from God.  I have never turned back or regretted this decision and I have great joy knowing that I get to go to serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 

What will I be doing at Hope Lutheran?  I have worked for 4 years with Junior and Senior High students as well as children and families and I plan to continue to serve in this area at Hope Lutheran. My job is to know and love each and everyone of you ages 0-94.  For now, I will be serving in every area I can, while getting to know the ins and outs of this congregation.  Jackie and I are making a home here at Hope and will be joining as members this month.  I am excited and eager to serve God through this congregation and it’s members.
